p.s.... That also means that the lounge no longer opens at 4...but its been replaced with something SO much better... :)

Just wanted to let you know I happened upon the Salt Exchange last weekend on a self-described culinary tour of Portland, and since then I haven't been able to shut up about the place. My only disappointment is that my wife and I weren't able to extend our visit by another meal as we were only lunchers. I can't wait to return for dinner someday. We both loved your restaurant, from your iPod to the incredible food! Hi TSE and Martha. I did it. My pastry chef is heading to Portland Monday for a Nick Malgieri book signing at Rabelais and I redirected her from Fore Street (where she's eaten plenty) to you. Her name is Molly Hanson, and her cohort, Kate Henry, is pastry chef at Oleana in Cambridge. They're both super nice! Just a heads up...
